NBT Concludes Three Years in the NOME Mentoring Program
Nordic Brain Tech concludes three years as a NOME portfolio company, now becoming an alumni company
CEO Cathrine Ro Heuch attended the NOME Annual Meeting 2025. The gathering marked an important milestone for Nordic Brain Tech, as the company has now completed three years in the Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) and officially joined the program’s alumni community. It was a moment to reflect on achievements, celebrate progress, and acknowledge the value of the mentorship received.
A Strong Beginning: Winner of the NOME Startup Competition 2022
Nordic Brain Tech’s journey in NOME began with a significant recognition. In 2022, the company won the NOME Startup Competition, competing against promising Nordic life-science start-ups. This win secured entry into the prestigious mentoring program and signaled the strong potential of the company’s technology and mission. It also laid the foundation for the intensive guidance and growth that followed.
Three Years of Expert Guidance
Throughout the program, Nordic Brain Tech collaborated with a panel of experienced mentors from across Scandinavia, representing pharma, medtech, digital health, and commercialization. Their expertise played a central role in shaping the company’s strategy, advancing its commercial readiness, and strengthening its understanding of international markets.
While the standard NOME track lasts two years, Nordic Brain Tech was honored with an additional year of mentoring. This extended period offered even deeper support and reflects the program’s confidence in the company’s work and long-term potential.
An Important Step into the U.S. Medtech Landscape
One of the most influential experiences during the NOME journey was the 2024 delegation trip to Minneapolis, where participants visited the Mayo Clinic and met stakeholders in the regional medtech ecosystem.
This opportunity provided valuable connections with U.S.-based companies, clinicians, and innovation partners. The visit became a meaningful stepping stone toward building transatlantic collaborations and expanding Nordic Brain Tech’s international network.
Marking the Transition at the 2025 Annual Meeting
The annual meeting brought together entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and industry leaders. For Nordic Brain Tech, it was both a concluding chapter and a celebration. The company reflected on the progress made during the mentoring period and expressed gratitude to the NOME mentors for their time, insights, and genuine commitment.
The event also highlighted the strength of the Nordic innovation community and the role NOME plays in helping early-stage companies grow and succeed.
