Our co-founders are Norway's leading headache experts with wide international support. We have competence within neurology, neuropsychology, biofeedback, robotics and data science.

Cathrine Ro Heuch

CEO and co-founder

Cathrine is the CEO in Nordic Brain Tech. She holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from NTNU 2017 and a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, from NTNU 2019. As an entrepreneur Cathrine has worked in NTNU Technology Transfer Office with commercialisation of research to the industry, worked in a startup in San Francisco and entrepreneurship courses from UC Berkeley.

Stefan Borg

Developer and co-founder

Stefan is the AI-lead in Nordic Brain Tech, holding a Master of Science in Computer Science from NTNU, University of Washington, and Hawai'i Pacific University. He is specialized in artificial intelligence with experience from building intelligent systems for prediction and reasoning. He has experience from SINTEF Digital, DNV GL, and Schlumberger.

Jenny Nesje

Quality Manager

Jenny is responsible for Quality Assurance and Regulatory affairs. She holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Jenny has experience working with microbiology Quality Control in Fresenius Kabi where she was responsible during audits/inspections from international governments and clients.

Åse Neverlien Software Enigneer

Åse Neverlien

Software Engineer

Åse works as a software engineer in Nordic Brain Tech. As a software engineer she has several years of experience with both software and DevOps projects. Åse holds a Master of Science in Cybernetics and Robotics from NTNU, where she specialized in autonomous systems and artificial intelligence. She has experience from SINTEF, Sopra Steria, DNV and Telenor.

Cecilie Kingston

Medical Intern

Cecilie a part-time medical advisor in Nordic Brain Tech. She has recently completed her medical studies at UiO and is currently working as a medical doctor at Ullevål Universitetssykehus. At Nordic Brain Tech she works with regulatory affairs within clinical trials, and collaborates closely with patients and healthcare professionals to develop tailored solutions that address their individual needs.

Erling Tronvik

Senior Medical Advisor

Erling is Professor of neurology and consultant neurologist at NTNU and St. Olavs University Hospital. Tronvik has over 20 years of experience in neurology, is the head of the National Advisory Unit on Headaches in Norway and keeps close contact and collaboration with leading national and international headache researchers. Erling is the co-inventor of a minimally invasive surgical device for treatment of rare and highly debilitating headache syndromes, a CE-marked product.

Alexander Olsen

Senior Medical Advisor

Alexander is Associate Professor of clinical neuropsychology at NTNU and St. Olavs Hospital. He has a long track record of both clinical and academic research and teaching in neuropsychology. He is also Head of the Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory and leader of the worldwide ENIGMA Adult msTBI working group. Among his research interests are the use of biofeedback and neurofeedback, and treatment of long-term symptoms, such as headache, following traumatic brain injury.

Senior Medical Advisor and co-founder

Anker is MD and PhD in neurology from NTNU and St. Olavs Hospital. His main expertise is the application of biofeedback on migraines and machine learning in neurology from his close collaboration with University College London (UCL). Anker has been the main responsible for conducting clinical investigation on our biofeedback treatment in collaboration with international migraine experts.

Christel Elise Kanli

Chair of the Board

Christel has experience from CFO and COO roles in growth companies such as Hofseth BioCare, Tunable, Smartfish and ScanWafer, combined with solid industrial and strategic background from multinationals. She was in Orkla for eight years doing M&A mainly in Asia, and has extensive international experience from around the globe. She is currently CFO in UBR Scandinavia.

Anders Guttormsen

Director

Anders is the CEO of Orkla Foods Norway, a leading branded consumer goods company with strong market positions across both the Norwegian grocery and out‑of‑home sectors in numerous categories. He has 19 years of experience at Orkla in a range of leadership roles and brings extensive expertise in strategy, sales, NRM, category management, negotiations, and market launches.

Anton Lorenz Bondesen

Anton Lorenz Bondesen

Director and investor

Anton is a founder and CEO of Stormast AS, an investment firm specializing in tech companies and health tech. Anton co-founded and successfully exited companies such as PasientSky and Convene. Stormast AS is an active investor in Nordic Brain Tech.

Lars Lundamo

Director

Lars is Procurement and Supply Chain Director at Dely AS, which is part of Jordanes that specializing in branded consumer industries. He has broad experience across logistics and value chains, as well as contract negotiations, from companies such as TINE and ASKO.

Renée Amundsen

Renée Amundsen

Director

Renée has over 24 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including senior executive roles at Novo Nordisk and Merck KGaA. Most recently, she served as Corporate Vice President at Novo Nordisk with global responsibility for the diabetes portfolio, and has deep expertise in strategy, commercial execution and global scaling of innovative therapies.
